Celebrity Mentorship: Emily Osment

Nurturing an impressive body of work over the past two decades, Emily Osment’s career continues to evolve with exciting and challenging projects.

Emily recently starred in the FOX drama series “Almost Family.”  Based on the Australian series, the show centers on an only child who finds her life turned upside down when her father is forced to reveal that over the course of his pioneering career as a fertility doctor, he used his own sperm to conceive dozens of children.

Emily also stars on the award-winning Chuck Lorre Netflix series “The Kominsky Method” alongside Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin. Written by Lorre, “The Kominsky Method” centers on Sandy Kominsky (Douglas), an actor who years ago had a brief fling with success and is now a revered Hollywood acting coach.   Emily starred in the Freeform show “Young and Hungry” for five seasons as Gabi Diamond, a personal chef to a wealthy tech entrepreneur.  She had a memorable arc in the Chuck Lorre CBS sitcom “Mom” playing Jodi, a street wise young drug addict who Christy (Anna Faris) and Bonnie (Allison Janney) try to help get sober. Another notable role was playing Lilly Truscott on the Disney Channel original series “Hannah Montana.” Before ending its remarkable 100 episode run, the show’s success was captured on the big screen with “Hannah Montana, The Movie.”

Emily is also a singer/songwriter and began releasing new music under the moniker Bluebiird in 2019. As a teen she wrote and released two solo albums “All The Right Wrongs” and “Fight or Flight” and toured worldwide in 2010 at the age of 18.
